Quick answers about your bench, roles, matching, and hiring on KnownBench.
How did my company get set up on KnownBench?
KnownBench is invite-only. Your account was created by redeeming a company-signup invite from a Portal Admin as the first Admin, or you were added by an existing Admin at your company.
What's the difference between Admin and Member?
Admins manage billing, team, and company settings. Members can browse the bench, post roles, and review matches. Rate and billing visibility is set per member, independent of that role.
How do I add a teammate?
Settings → Team & permissions → + Invite teammate, enter their email and pick Member or Admin. This produces a real signup link right away - there's no email delivery yet, so share the link directly.
What is "your bench"?
Everyone you currently have an Engagement Window with, active or not. Each consultant's visibility to you is time-boxed, not a standing connection - it expires automatically unless you both reconfirm.
What can I see about someone on my bench?
Click a consultant's name, or "View profile," for the full picture: complete module list, every certification with verified/pending status, full work experience, engagement model, eligible countries, location, and Workday tenant history. Full work experience only shows once your Engagement Window with them is actually active or expiring - not while it's still awaiting reconfirmation.
What happens when an Engagement Window expires?
Its status changes to "expired." Use Reconfirm on that row to bring it back to active.
What's the difference between Browse and My Bench?
Browse shows talent who've opted into general bench visibility but aren't engaged with you yet. Use + Engage on a Browse card to open a general engagement window and move them onto My Bench.
What do "Required certification" and "Minimum module tenure" actually do?
They're not just descriptive text - they're the real scoring gate and criteria used to compute every talent's Fit Score against that specific role.
What's the Context field for?
Informational only, e.g. "Retail industry background" - shown alongside the role but not scored in the match.
How is the match percentage computed?
Whether the required certification gate is passed, how a candidate's module tenure compares to the role's stated minimums, and whether their tenant experience fits - not a black-box number.
What is the Hire checklist?
A per-consultant, per-role checklist covering Legal, Incorporation, Eligibility, Rate, and Workday sync confirmations. Start one from the Hire button on a bench row.
What is "Workday sync"?
Not built yet - a stretch goal to push a confirmed hire directly into your Workday tenant as a contingent worker requisition, instead of re-keying it by hand.
Are the numbers in Reports real?
Yes - a running view computed from your actual engagement and hire data, not illustrative figures.
Can I manage billing yet?
Not yet - Stripe billing integration isn't connected, so Manage billing is disabled for now.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
Your bench and role history stay saved for 90 days if you resubscribe. Active Engagement Windows aren't affected until they expire naturally.
